DREARY, DIM AND DARK

 As a nature lover and gardener, I’ve witnessed countless miracles in the natural world, but none more powerful than the transformation of a butterfly. Think about it: it begins as a small, plain-looking caterpillar, inching along leaves and limbs. Its movement is slow, seemingly insignificant. Then comes a time when it appears suspended in air, supported by a fragile strand of silk. Vulnerable to winds, harsh sun, and lurking predators, this stage seems perilous and unpromising. Then, the caterpillar retreats into a cocoon. Darkness surrounds it, and from the outside, it looks like the end.

A MIRACLE IN THE MAKING

 Yet, in that hidden space, a miracle is taking place. The caterpillar doesn’t remain as it was—it’s undergoing a painstaking process of transformation. Inside the chrysalis, there’s twisting, turning, spinning, and stretching. What a grueling, uncomfortable process it must be! But eventually, the chrysalis cracks. And out comes a completely new creation: a butterfly. At first, its wings are wet and fragile, but with time and effort, it flutters and flaps. With strength and splendor, the butterfly takes flight, soaring into a new and glorious existence.

My Sister Friends, you too can be transformed. You may feel like the caterpillar, moving slowly or seemingly going nowhere. Life may have left you feeling suspended in a sinister state, unable to see a way forward. Perhaps you’re battling storms or harsh realities, and the predators of doubt, fear, or negativity are circling. But don’t give up. Fly on my Sisters.
